First Interview: For you Shoe Lovers ....!!

This week needs to start with a bang. My first interview is here y'all!
My first victim ?! Mr. Swagger himself Tyrone Kendrick. I chose him because he has more style than most men that think they have style. Style and swagger is something you are born with and can't be duplicated.
Being my first interview of this blog I was kinda nervous but what the hay right !! All in the name of fashion.

Called Tyrone last night to have a little chat with him..
Heard Patricia (Tyrone's girlfriend / my cousin) being sarcastic in the background.. What's new lol

As I say hold on a second Imma put you on speakerphone I'm recording this I heard Patty say "I'm so sure !!"

Me-First question : why the shoe craze?!?!
T- why the shoe craze?!! I dunno I love shoes for every outfit.. When I was little I didn't have all the shoes that I wanted.. Now I collect them.

Me: who's your fashion icon ?!
T: one person?
Me : or a couple people if you'd like to expand.
T: fashion icon? I'm gonna have to say Kanye West of course...crazy swagger
Me: alright alright
T: I like Kid Cudi because he has creative style and also Lil Wayne. Those guys definately.
Me: why Lil' Wayne??
T: he's versatile .. He can do hip hop or skater and make it work
me: if you had to pick one of those 3 people, who would you say is more influential in your life as a fashion icon ?
T: out of those 3 people ? I dunno I'd have to say Kanye
Me: because he's in the fashion business and all that stuff more than the others?
T: yeah pretty much.

Me: one weird question Gucci or Louie and why lol
T: Gucci or Louie and why hmmm I'm gonna say Gucci and Louie. Not either or I dunno why
Me: do you like their brand, or logos ? Do you like how they've made a splash in the hip hop world ?
T: yep I would say that and you see definitely a lot more fitted clothes that you see a lot of hip hop people with the Gucci or Louie belts with the more fitted shirts and the pants. But I dunno I like Gucci and Louie because they're classic not just their belts and wallets and keys pouches but when you see their catalogs and stuff like that I think everything looks crazy like their bags and purses
Me: yeah I think so too.. I dunno if you read my blog with Marc Jacobs but I think that without him Louie wouldn't be as well known in pop culture and all or as well known as it is today
T: yeah it's like everywhere !! It's crazy how it is too.
Me: yeah it's almost disgusting!!
T: and you see most of these people like rappers they're not getting paid to wear it or rap about it's just out there.

Me: what's the first thing you look for in your closet or what's the one item you look at when you get dressed?
T: I dunno I would start at the feet first. So I have in mind of what shoes I'd like to wear.
Me: you build on the outfit ?
T: it all revolves around the shoes ! I dunno it's weird I think the shoes make the outfit
Me: yeah I think accessories make the outfit and a shoe is an accessory.
T: yeah like shoes and watch would have to match and then from there I can build an outfit.

Me: on a "bummy" day what's your signature bum item?
T: I would have so say definitely basketball shorts and a pair or Jordan's
Me: So it's all good with Gucci and Louie but you like the Jordan's right
T: oh yeah definitely
Me: what's your fav Jordan shoe that you own right now?
T: by far the Jordan 11- space jams the cool grey or the Concords

Me: whats your biggest fashion pet peeve that people do these day?
T:I dunno there is a lot!! I think it's when people don't match. Like they don't have to be matchy match but some dont have like no sense of color coordination. Guy or girl it's kinda looks weird to me.

Me: what's playing on ur iPod right now ?!
T: iPod ?! Umm
Me: yeah iPod, iPhone, music or what song are you stuck on right now ?
T: there is a couple I dunno I can't even narrow down to one
Me: what's the last thing you played
T: the last thing I played ... Anything Lil Wayne.. I'm really into "I'm not a human being" mix tape.. That's probably the last thing I played.

Me : hey thanks I think thats our interview!!! Thank man it should be out by tomorrow.

Celeb Profile of the Week : Kourtney Kardashian

When we think "Kardashian"we immediately think of Kim right ?! Well she's not the only one with style in the family. Kourtney has made a style splash all over the magazines and on her show. I picked her because I love her style the blazer w the short and all her stylish looks on Kim And Kourtney take NY.
Out of all of them I think she has a distinct style. She's very classy. Here are a few of my favorite looks . For being a mommy and a fellow short lady she can really wear anything and make it look great. You can find some affordable looks to mimic Kourtney at H&M and New York and Company. Also Nordstrom has their own private label named Halogen that may also help you achieve her style. Let me know what looks you like the best!!

Late but great !!!!!

So lately I've been a little under the weather and didn't have a chance to post this little creation of mine but nonetheless here it goes.

When I think of American designers what comes to mine is Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs. One of these designers is not only the Creative Director of their own brand but also the Creative Director of one of the biggest brands in the World!! Yup you guess it my little grasshoppers, Marc Jacobs.

Being the creative director of Louis Vuitton since 1997, in my opinion he revived the brand as a whole. Never would we have seen LV bags EVERYWHERE but these little treasures aren't cheap either.

In 2010, he was named by Time Magazine as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world.
Whether you see the LV bags only on tv or in the magazines, Marc Jacobs makes a more affordable collection called Marc by Marc Jacobs and his brand Marc Jacobs. He has saturated the market so much that he also makes electronic accessories such as laptop cases, iPhone and iPad cases (thank you Steve Jobs ). For about 50 bucks or so your phone can be tricked out in a designer case.

His most recent collection for Marc Jacobs Spring 2012, was stolen in transit from Paris to London on a press day. Always causing a stir in the fashion scene, his show in NYC fashion week was no exception. The theatrics and the material of the clothes took the audience by surprise. Not uncommon to make their runways shows into an actual theater production, John Galliano for Dior is known for this and now Marc Jacobs is jumping on the bandwagon.

The reviews on Spring 2012 for MJ weren't all that great. Most actual human beings loved it but the critics did not.I'm actually on the fence about this one. Personally I love the innovation and the concept but the clothes not so much. Not something I'd wear out to dinner and a movie. If I were a celebrity I'd definitely rock it. My faves were the shoes. The yellow pumps shown below are amazing. The hair and the "do rag" look make these outfits. I call this retro glam. Give me red lip and a cat eye and it's love at first sight. Celeb Profile: Rachel Bilson

Ok so I don't know about you guys but I'm completely ob-sessed with Rachel Bilson. First of all she's "fun-size" just like me :) and she has such effortless style. She can rock the tiny summer linen dresses, boyfriend jeans with flats, scarfs for days and look amazing in evening wear. She uses different textures and fabrics to make her layering, casual style work. These looks can easily work for many of you guys no matter what your body type. You can find looks like these at The Gap, Cotten On, Foreigh Exchange and even places like Forever 21-- if you're like me and like the little boutiques- although they might be a little more expensive- they might have better quality products.

Besides being the fun loving, ditzy Summer on the OC she is now starring on Hart of Dixie on the CW. I honestly think she is one of the most underrated style icons of today. Let me know what you guys think of Rachel and her style.

First Blog ...ever !!!!!

Hola World !! First blog ever is here been waiting for a while to even start this ish .. Some say it a bad idea some say it's odd but I say who gives ..!!!! Motto for this year is Live and Let Live lol after some much unnecessary family drama I came to the conclusion that this year is gonna be the best year of my life !!! I have a loving hubby and a beautiful baby girl .. New blog coming soon it's all about me (Loops) fashion, art, food trucks and whatever other trouble I get into lol
