Hello there ...!!! Long time no blog sorry friends... Been super busy w life and my business I forgot about my blog.. Well since I'm back a little recap of my recent endeavors. My makeup business had taken off .. Thank you for all of the support. Also I've been nominated for MUA of the year for Orange County, I'm super excited about it. New Business Ventures

Hey guys I've been so busy with school, work and now creating new business ventures. I'm starting my own makeup business for bridal, special occasions and photo shoots. Also I was approached to do a clothing line by my cousin. Since I've had all these ideas of possible businesses in my head, I've decided to take the leap and get the ball rolling. Hope to see you soon. I'm planning a summer inspired blog with cute outfits that are also affordable. Mens Wear

Hey y'all most of you have been wondering if I write about more than just womens fashion and indeed I do ! As you all may have seen my first interview was on men's shoes, now I'm taking it to a whole new level. Men's wear is actually why I got into the Fashion business. I wanted to be a custom suit tailor. Old Italian style. But I quickly figured out that women's wear is where the money's at.
The best thing about men is that when they buy something it's more of a quality item. Below are some pictures of my favorite looks for men from my fav trendiest yet classic store: Zara. Zara caters to men all over the world it's like the upscale H+M. All the items below are from $30 to $100. Not bad considering most men shoes average at $100 a pair. I showed these pics to my husband and he said that most men aren't that thin. True! I said. But all these looks can me fitted to a bigger male.
The mistake most men make is that they don't dress their age or they buy clothing that is 2 sizes too big for them. This may have been the style ten years ago but nowadays men should wear more fitted outfits. Hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you men reading this think about the fashions. And of course I also included a picture of my favorite male fashion icon- Kanye West.

Designer Profile: Azzedine Alaïa

When picking a designer I wanted it to be someone special and someone that I admired and inspired to be like. I chose Azzedine Alaïa. Alaïa was born in Tunisia a small country in northern Africa. Growing up with a twin sister who loved fashion Azzedine was inspired by her and was addicted to couture. A friend of his mother gave him Vogue magazine every month and he soon realized that fashion is what he wanted to do.
His creativity led him to his local Ècole of Beaux-Arts in Tunis. After he graduated he worked as a dressmakers assistant before making his way to the fashion capital of the world, Paris. He then had a short stint with designer Christian Dior. He also worked for Guy Laroche for two seasons. He then moved onto bigger and better things dressing stars like Greta Garbo. The rest as they say is history. He was the number one designer to the stars throughout the 1980s.
Following the death of his twin sister in the early 1990s he virtually vanished from the fashion scene and only dressed a few high profile clients. Following his hiatus in 2000 he signed a partnership with the mega super power Prada.
In July 2007, he decided to buy back his House and brand name from the Prada group. Although till this day Prada still owns his footwear and leather goods division.
He then signed a partnership with The Richemont Group who currently owns Cartier and Van Cleef.
As a designer he is a free-spirit, only showing when he has produced clothing that he is proud of. He refuses the market driven logic of luxury conglomerates and continues to focus on the "it-bags."
He states in an interview with Crowd Magazine that "Fashion was dead" and that designers now make clothes so that the media talks about them. Alaïa focuses on discreet luxury. He said that the real money for Designers is in perfumes and handbags. I don't completely agree with but he has a point, most people are for likely to purchase a perfume then a two grand dress. He still remains the same free- spirit that he was when he was owned by Prada or another company in his philosophy of clothes production.
His clothes are sold at Barney's New York alongside Lanvin and Balenciaga and his footwear primarily sold at Bergdorf Goodman.
In pop culture: he's been mentioned in the movie that we all know and love: Clueless. When Cher is getting mugged she mentions that she's wearing a very important designer "Alaïa"-- thought I'd share that with you since its one of my all time faves .
Also celebs like Miley Cyrus and Victoria Beckham have worn him to many red carpet events. Most recently Kendall Jenner wore a dress by him to the Hunger Games premiere last week. Of course a dress that she borrowed by her older sister Kimmie lol. Even the First Lady Michelle Obama has worn his designs to many political events.

The reason why most women prefer him is because he makes clothes for real women. His dresses are very delicate and flattering to the female figure just like Michael Kors.

Dresses and shoes walk down the red carpet every year, he's the master mind behind some of the more wearable dresses. Recent Obsessions...

Heyyyyy party people !!! Here are some of my recently obsessions. Right now I'm really into the skinny jeans with blazers or leather jackets with amazing accessories that scream rock and roll. I recently found a website called Polyvore where I found these items. The Hermes cuff is my favorite, and of course not the most economical way to spend your money but you can definitely get a similar item at small accessory boutiques. Skinny jeans aren't for everyone but if you can pull them off then go ahead. My favorite skinny jeans are Joe's Jeans. They carry different fits for your body shape. A Town in the house!!! Heeyyyyyyy !!! Nene Leakes has taken the ATL scene by storm with her long Legs and her attitude... No doubt about it now that she's "rich" she's can afford all the wonderful things in life.. Louboutin's, Fendi, and last but not least Vuitton. Although maybe BabyGurl should have left her "red bottoms" at home for the South Africa trip none the less she gave the Bush some glam. Here are some pics of the outfits that I think really suit her body shape. I love the pleather leggings w the heels and also the one shoulder rouched dress. Hope y'all enjoy !!
